What you'll need
- An Android or iOS phone with GPS and mobile data.
- An email address — you sign in with a one-time code, not a password.
- Location permission granted to the app. Without it the panic button cannot summon help.
- At least one trusted contact who has agreed to be notified on your behalf.
Before you install
Please read Safety and limitations. Sisonke Alert notifies nearby responders and your trusted contacts — it does not dispatch emergency services and cannot guarantee anyone responds. It belongs alongside 10111, not instead of it.
Cost
Free for pilot community members. No advertising, and we do not sell your data.
