When something goes wrong, you should not be unlocking your phone, finding a number and explaining where you are. Sisonke Alert is one button. Hold it, choose what is happening, and the people around you know where you are and what you need.
Sisonke Alert notifies people — nearby registered responders and the contacts you trust. It is not an emergency service, it does not dispatch police, paramedics or firefighters, and it cannot guarantee that anyone responds. Always call the emergency services too. Read the full limitations.

Hold the panic button, then pick what is happening — crime, medical, fire, gender-based violence, an accident, or something else.

A short countdown runs before anything is sent. Pressed it by mistake? Cancel, and nobody is notified.

The people near you know
Your location and the type of emergency go to registered responders in range and to your trusted contacts. Your position keeps updating about every 7 seconds until you tap "I'm safe".

Once an alert is live, your position updates roughly every 7 seconds. It stops the moment you tap "I'm safe".
Six emergency types
Crime, medical, fire, gender-based violence, accident or other — so whoever sees the alert knows what they are walking into.
Nearby responders
Alerts fan out to registered responders within range of you, rather than to a queue somewhere far away.
Trusted contacts
The people you choose are notified at the same time and can follow your location until the alert ends.
Private by default
No tracking between emergencies. No ads, no selling your data, and sign-in is a one-time email code — we never store a password.
